“Clean property. Pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. (Could use more pool towels.) Staff were friendly. Breakfast was in is own clean room, but it was disappointing. Scrambled eggs were horrible (this was the opinion of the guests at surrounding tables too). Biscuits & gravy was bland, biscuits were hard. No fruit at all.”

“The room was clean. Hotel was quiet. Great location. Breakfast was good/decent. We were there for just one night, and spent just sleep time & breakfast there, but, for our purposes - it was terrific. Price was great, service, staff, location, etc. were all more than expected! I would recommend. (We did not use the pool, so no idea)”

“This is a unique fabulous property in Del Mar. the location is perfect - perched above the Pacific. The abundant windows and sliding glass doors provide a delightful open light airy feel that captures the coastal vibe perfectly. A unique “Old California” that will not disappoint. I highly recommend this cottage and will definitely come back.”

“All was really well! Room was nice, beds were nicer than most other hotels we’ve stayed at. Used the pool area- hot tub and one of the water buckets didn’t work- but other than that nice for little family. Used workout area- that was nice. The breakfast was a big hit. Only downfall was the very VERY strong smell of weed that lingered in the hallway.”

“Pets are allowed on property and had dog barking at night and early morning when trying to sleep. We love dogs, but our dog does not travel with us for this reason. He would not be happy cooped up in hotel room for long hours. We spent almost $200 for one night at this hotel and had poor nights rest and were glad that we only booked. The front desk attendant was not helpful. She gave my husband her managers contact information and will be contacting.”

“Nice and cheap motel near South transportation point. Room is very big and comfortable. The only two negative points are the AC not controllable and the shower a little bit not practical. Be sure to wait at 7 to take some stuff for breakfast because usually people is not so kind and they lined up to take everything, at 8 am everything is finished and the food doesn't get replaced until next morning. Assistance during breakfast would be required. ”

“We didn't get much sleep due to the smoke alarms going off because of people smoking pot. Pretty awful for being a non smoking hotel. It was so strong in the hallways. Trying to check out in the morning because we wanted a receipt and there was no staff to be found. Breakfast was good though.”
